Shabbat Parashat Naso
June 18, 2016 – 12 Sivan 5776
Dear Friends,
As we move into our temporary abode at the JCC, I share with you my blessings for a bright future, as well as my Facebook post in response to recent events in the news. This is what I posted:
“Tel Aviv. Orlando. Sadness. Silence. Searching. Back to Basics. Live and Let Live. Grateful to be part of a tradition that values life in all its messiness; sees sparks of truth in diversity; knows that we don’t yet have all the answers; reminds us to keep on working toward a better tomorrow. To Life.”
As we move forward…
May we not lose hope. May we not become indifferent. May we raise one another’s spirits up. And, may we be blessed to find our way to action that engenders greater understanding, deeper truth, and just and lasting peace!
Shabbat Shalom!
