Social Action Spotlight
Woof, Meow, Please Donate!
Make a difference for our furry friends! The Social Action Committee is collecting pet supplies,
food, and other essentials to support the Heritage Humane Society, Peninsula SPCA, and Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter. Check the flyer for ways to help spread the love! ❤️
Toiletries Requested
Please donate toiletries—feminine hygiene products, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, deodorant, and more—to support individuals experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, or other challenges. Donations of both full-sized and travel-sized items are greatly appreciated.
⚖️ Spotlight: Spill the Honey
“Through education and the transformative power of the arts, Spill the Honey Foundation amplifies the historic and contemporary voices of the Black-Jewish alliance to foster empathy for action and to unite communities in our mission for social change. Through unprecedented access to Dr. Clarence Jones, and other historical archival materials, Spill The Honey Foundation provides a forum to celebrate and educate on the historic Black-Jewish Alliance of the Civil Rights Movement, to create space for an open dialogue, and to enact a call to action to build a multigenerational cultural offensive against hate.”
️ Next SAC Meeting:
Please join us on Sunday, February 23, at 1 p.m. RST for our next Social Action Committee meeting. For more information, contact socialaction@rodefsholomtemple.org
