Pesach Playlist

The story of liberation from servitude told at the Seder and through the pages of the Haggadah inspired generations of Jews to face oppression with faith that they would overcome their adversity. Indeed, this message of redemption inspired many downtrodden and persecuted peoples throughout history. The playlist below reflects some of what I listen to each year while getting ready for the holiday. The list includes a mixture of familiar Pesach songs with a twist, contemporary songs including a retelling of the Exodus narrative and one which speaks of the unknown that lies ahead. There is even a dance performed at the Albany Israeli Dance Festival depicting the Exodus from Egypt. Enjoy! – Rabbi David Eligberg
